Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this unit, students should be able, at threshold level, to:

Describe the critical features of some advanced techniques for web application development. 
Employ and integrate techniques to develop web applications. 
Evaluate emerging professional practice. 
Timetable

Students are expected to carry out independent studies around the topics identified in the course outline. The main focus of the work is the development of a real-world web application.

Learning activities

Students are expected to read extensively and practice their programming skills in their own time.

Students should not attempt this course unless they meet the programming prerequisite AND have completed unit WEB1P.

Assessments and their weighting

Exam (60%)

At end of unit.

2 hours duration. Closed book. The exam consists of 6 questions. You must answer 4 questions, but there is no restriction on what questions you can answer..

Pass mark 40%.
