Budget 2005-2006

Kirsten (15th September 2005) ...

As you may be aware, the CAM equipment budget (41006 budget code) will no longer be in use, as of the beginning of this financial year. This is due to the reorganisation of the Faculty with the creation of the School of Computing and Maths moving out of CAM.

Any equipment ordered for departmental activity will be directly charged to the department and any equipment for labs, the costs will be split between the School of Computing and Creative Technologies.

Steve and Ajit will be working out a way of managing the labs purchases, until then, the costs will be split equally between CT and Computing budget codes.

Steve (26th October 2005) ...

Following my meeting with Ajit, the 86K computer capital budget in CT will be divided as follows:

30K CT staff
16K CT only teaching (eg Music, Mac Lab, Video)
40K Joint PC lab budget.

Ajit will be putting in 50K as well in the Joint PC budget.  The joint PC budget will be used for all CAM PC teaching meeds.

Ajit (27th October 2005) ...

Steve had a quick discussion with me yesterday on equipment spend between CT and Computing this year. I provisionally agreed to match his spend which he indicated would be 50k but is now 40k for PC labs.  But we may want to set our own priorities with regard to equipment spend this year.
