3ds max usage

After chatting to Brian Heal, it was agreed that the number of licences should be related to timetabled usage.

SB to investigate whether licence server can tell us the peak usage. Still working on it

Web browsers

Are all aspects of our web browser policy implemented? Mike Reid is working on it. Progressing

Lab notices

SB has wording. JSB to add words on misuse and plagiarism/IP. Done

Dusting

JSB reported a large number of very dusty monitor screens in Anglesea.

Screen wipes are available from each site support team.

JSB to contact Estates JSB raised it at Faculty IT Committee who agreed to raise it with UITC

Overtime

Do we want to be keeping Merc, LG and Anglesea open every evening?

There are now fewer staff available and willing to do overtime.

JSB to raise with ECAM the possibility of closing LG in the evening. Done

Mac training

AC reported that he was not now being sent on the Mac training course.    

Lab lighting

AC complained about the quality of the fluorescent lights in the labs. AC to query with Estates. Waiting

Broken equipment

AC reported that he had some broken equipment lying around. AC to get Estates to dispose of it. Done

Mac lab

SB reported that the Mac Lab hardware installation is now complete, though software has not all been installed.

SB is obtaining quotes for wooden boxes to hold the G5 machines and for mounting speakers on the wall.
